He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Psalm 23:3
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10
There are times when we stray from God’s perfect plan and purpose for our lives. We then find ourselves in a struggle with an enemy focused on our ultimate separation from God. In the survival of the soul of man God introduces one to a strategy that requires complete trust and confidence in God’s ability to repair loss and damage and reinstate along with sheltering one from utter chaos and defeat. God immediately provides an atmosphere to reason together with Him as He begins to rebuild and reestablish our soul. Our emotions, feelings, ideas and personalized agenda’s must go through a processing and reshaping and, in some cases, even redefining that the restored man may be made more Christ-like. The harsh reality of this is that we allow this condition to develop in our lives. So in prayer, we must hasten to God’s throne and through fasting we break strongholds of wickedness. Through God’s Word, we receive much needed restoration.
